The
Prosecutors Supervision & Coordination Bureau performs
administrative and programmatic duties to fulfill the
Attorney General's statutory mandate to exercise general
supervisory authority and oversee the administration
of each of the twenty one county prosecutor's offices
and their respective police departments. |

The
Prosecutors Supervision and Coordination Bureau coordinates
the implementation of statewide law enforcement initiatives
or mandates; provides legal advice to members of the
law enforcement community on a variety of administrative
and prosecutorial issues; litigates cases involving
issues of statewide significance that are pertinent
to the law enforcement community or constitute a conflict
within the county prosecutors' offices; conducts training
for the benefit of members of the law enforcement community;
responds to citizen complaints concerning actions on
the part of law enforcement; conducts management and
programmatic audits of county prosecutors' offices and
police departments; constitutes a repository for periodic
reporting by law enforcement entities; and serves as
a clearing house for the gathering and dissemination
of information pertinent to law enforcement concerns. |
