The Cost Recovery Section provides legal counsel
and representation to the Department of Environmental
Protection's Site Remediation program, addressing
all aspects of sites where there has been a discharge
of hazardous substances. Such representation includes
legal efforts to require cleanups of the sites,
to recover money spent by the State to clean up
sites, and to recover the value of the lost use
of sites prior to cleanup.
