Un ex manager de operaciones de venta al por mayor de ingredientes farmacéuticos admite culpabilidad de robar medio millón de dólares

TRENTON – El Fiscal General Interino John J. Hoffman anunció que un ex manager de operaciones al por mayor de una compañía de Clifton, N.J., que importaba ingredientes farmacéuticos admitió culpabilidad hoy de haber robado medio millón de dólares de la compañía.

Steven Dilk, 60, de Clifton, un ex supervisor de un almacén y manager de operaciones de la SST Corporation, admitió culpabilidad hoy a un cargo en segundo grado de robo por decepción ante el Juez de la Corte Superior Randal C. Chiocca en Passaic County. Admitiendo culpabilidad, Dilk dijo que él robó $512,047 de su ex empleador. Los robos ocurrieron entre Enero del 2006 y Abril del 2013, cuando Dilk dejó la SST Corporation para trabajar para un competidor. Bajo el acuerdo de culpabilidad, el estado recomendará que Dilk sea sentenciado a 7 años en la prisión del estado. Se requerirá que él pague restitución completa. El Juez Chiocca programó la sentencia de Dilk para el 17 de Abril.

La Delegada del Fiscal General Jacqueline M. Weyand aceptó la admisión de culpabilidad de parte del Division of Criminal Justice Financial & Computer Crimes Bureau.

Una investigación por la Division of Criminal Justice reveló que Dilk robó el dinero fraudulentamente facturando a la compañía por costos de importación que él dijo que había pagado de parte de ésta, cuando de hecho no pagos se habían hecho durante el tiempo en cuestión. Antes del final del 2005, SST mandaba sus productos a través del JFK International Airport en New York, donde a veces incurría en “gate charges” (cargos de entrada) que eran pagados por Dilk y luego eran reembolsados a él por la compañía. Sin embargo, después del 2005, SST recibió sus cargos a través del Philadelphia International Airport, donde empleó a un agente de transporte que trataba cualquier asunto en el aeropuerto, incluyendo el pago asociado con la importación y recibo de transporte. Aunque Dilk no incurrió personalmente en ningún gasto de transporte por los recibidos en el Philadelphia International Airport, él remitió numerosos recibos a SST por “gate charges” que él decía había pagado. Como resultado recibió fraudulentamente reembolso de un total de $512,047.

Los Detective Scott Stevens, Detective Mark Byrnes y la Analista Kim Geis condujeron la investigación de parte del Division of Criminal Justice Financial & Computer Crimes Bureau.

El Fiscal General Interino Hoffman y el Director Honig anotaron que la Division of Criminal Justice ha establecido un número gratis 1-866-TIPS-4CJ para que él público reporte corrupción, crimen financiero y otras actividades ilegales. Además el público puede ir al sitio web de la Division of Criminal Justice www.njdcj.org para reportarlo allí también.
