La escuela secundaria Governor Livingston High School gana el Consumer Bowl del Estado del 2015

NEWARK – La Governor Livingston High School en Union County ha Ganado el 19th
 Annual New Jersey Consumer Bowl, convirtiéndose en los campeones del Estado  venciendo a Irvington High School y Gateway High School durante la ronda final que tuvo lugar en el Hughes Justice Complex en Trenton.

“El mejor premio, obtener el conocimiento necesario para evitar ser víctimas de fraude de consumo, es compartido por todos los estudiantes de la secundaria que participaron este año en la competición del Consumer Bowl,” dijo el Fiscal General Interino John J. Hoffman.  “Me gustaría también felicitar a los administradores y a los maestros-consejeros de las 80 escuelas participantes por reconocer la importancia del  Consumer Bowl y por apoyar este programa.”
 
Las competiciones entre los condados empezaron en Enero, con los campeones de los condados enfrentándose en las competiciones regionales. Irvington High School representó el Norte de Nueva Jersey y terminó en segundo lugar. Gateway High School representó  el Sur de Nueva Jersey y terminó el tercero. La Governor Livingston High School representó el Centro de New Jersey.

“Felicidades a Joe Hubert, el maestro-consejero, y a los estudiantes de la Governor Livingston que trabajaron muy duro para ganar el Consumer Bowl,” dijo Steve Lee,  Director Interino de la New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.  “Los estudiantes participantes de cada escuela están más bien educados en asuntos de consumo gracias a nuestro anual Consumer Bowl.”

El Consumer Bowl incluye tópicos como esquemas de Ponzi, donar a caridades, telemercadeo, mejoras de vivienda, robo de identidad y asuntos de autos.

Cualquier escuela de secundaria (high school) que desee participar en el 2016 Consumer Bowl puede llamar a Dulcelina Pena en la New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, al 973-504-6441.
