This series consists of an incomplete set of the annual reports of the managers of the New Jersey State Village for Epileptics. The first ten reports are bound together in one volume entitled New Jersey State Village for Epileptics, 1898-1908. This volume also includes copies of the legislation governing the Village and the text of a conference paper given by the Village's first superintendent. The remainder of the series consists of individual annual report booklets.

While the specific topics included and the level of detail provided in the annual reports varies from year to year, in general each report includes narrative and statistical information regarding the Village's finances, staff changes, patient population, agricultural yields, and improvements and additions to the grounds and buildings. The patient statistics include breakdowns by sex, age, occupation at time of admission, and cause of epilepsy as described by relatives.
