Passaic County - Surrogate's Office
Passaic County was formed 7 February 1837 as follows: Acquackanonk (Clifton) and Paterson Twps. from Essex County; Manchester (Haledon), Pompton (Bloomingdale/Ringwood/Wanaque/Pompton Lakes) and West Milford Twps. from Bergen County.
