Mark O’Connor, world renowned violinist and American composer, captivates audiences with his unique fusion of jazz, bluegrass, folk, and classical music. The GRAMMY award-winning violinist - or “fiddler,” as he prefers will be performing his composition, The Improvised Violin concerto. At over 30 minutes in length, The Improvised Violin Concerto features the longest improvisation ever called for in a classical setting. To perform it well is a daunting task!
The Youth Orchestra of Bucks County (YOBC) is a non-profit, educational organization which creates opportunities for talented young musicians to achieve artistic excellence and pursue their musical goals. YOBC has been serving young musicians in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for 22 years.
