Dress Our Vets
Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno led a group of women lawmakers in a Statewide “Dress Our Vets” clothing drive benefiting women veterans as they transition from military service to civilian life. Conducted during March – Women’s History Month – the donations benefited the Suiting Warriors Foundation, which provides the suits and other items to veterans entering the civilian workforce.

“Every March, we commemorate the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. This year, however, I thought it appropriate to focus on a unique category of leaders – our women veterans,” said Lt. Governor Guadagno. “We must continue to help these women as they transition after they leave the military, switching from heavy flak jackets to elegant black jackets, from battle dress to professional dress.”

The Suiting Warriors Foundation is a grass-roots, non-profit mobile concierge suiting service that has suited approximately 600 veterans over the past year. SWF serves veterans in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, New York City and Washington, D.C.
