Anthony Campbell - Chair
New Jersey Commission for National and Community Service
Dr. Anthony (Tony) Campbell is the Chair of the New Jersey Commission for National and Community Service and has served on the Commission since his appointment by Governor Whitman in 2000.
Community Service has always been a priority for Dr. Campbell and he views AmeriCorps members as providing service and hope to communities in New Jersey and the nation.
Dr. Campbell serves as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Rider University in Lawrenceville. Tony also teaches Vocational Counseling and Development at Rider. He volunteers for many organizations, including the Trenton Public Education Foundation and Mercer Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction.
Tony is a graduate of James Madison University, University of Georgia and of University of Virginia where he earned his Ph.D. in Counselor Education. Tony is married to Melissa Scott Campbell and has three children and one granddaughter.
