TRENTON, NJ - The New Jersey Division of Elections offers registered voters a few suggestions to avoid lines at the polls on Tuesday, November 3. The polls in New Jersey will be open from 6 am to 8 pm.
- Know your polling place location. It can be found on your sample ballot or by visiting www.njelections.org.
- If your schedule permits, please visit your polling place during off-peak hours between 10 am and 3 pm.
- Vote by mail is a convenient alternative to visiting a polling place to vote. The deadline for the mailed application to be received by the County Clerk is October 27.
- Registered voters in New Jersey interested in voting by mail are encouraged to visit the Division of Elections' website (www.njelections.org) to print out an application.
- Once completed and signed, it can be mailed to their County Clerk up to seven days prior to the general election on November 3.
- A registered voter may also apply in person to the County Clerk until 3:00 p.m. the day before the election.
