MEDIA ADVISORY

Photo Opportunity

The enhanced emissions testing demonstration project at the Bakers Basin inspection station will officially open on Monday, November 24.

The media will have an opportunity to see up close how vehicles will have their emissions tested under the ASM 50/15 emissions testing protocol. This should provide an excellent visual of a car on the dynamometer as it undergoes the new testing procedure.

Motorists who pass the test will be given a two year inspection sticker.

NJDOT and DEP staff will be available to answer questions about the test.

The lane will open at 10 a.m. Interested members of the media should meet at the back of the inspection station at the lane closest to the building. The Bakers Basin Inspection Station is located in Lawrence Township on Route 1 north just past the I-295 overpass. If you go past the Quakerbridge Mall you went too far.
