Route 29 Closure to Begin on Monday, March 1

On March 1, 1999, NJDOT will close a portion of Route 29 and implement a detour in South Trenton. The detour will last up to two years and will have a major impact on traffic. Local access will be maintained at all times.

Attached is a map of the detour and suggested alternate routes. NJDOT strongly encourages motorists to use alternate routes such as I-295. NJDOT has established a Route 29 information section on our website (www.njcommuter.com) and has put into effect a toll-free hotline, 1-877-NJ ROADS, for project information.
