Route 1-Meadow Road Overpass To Open

Transportation Commissioner James Weinstein will join state, county and local officials to cut the ribbon for the new Route 1 – Meadow Road overpass in West Windsor Township, Mercer County. The overpass will replace the chronically congested traffic signal intersection.

The ceremony will be held on the overpass on Thursday, December 20, 2001, at 1 PM. Parking is available on the west side of Route 1 near the Princeton Marketfair entrance.

Route 1 is among the busiest highways in the state. The current Meadow Road traffic signal is passed by approximately 70,000 vehicles a day.
