NJDOT proposes to readopt rules on state highway access levels by route and milepost access code

The New Jersey Department of Transportation is proposing to readopt with amendments N.J.A.C. 16:47, appendix B, the rules governing the Department’s regulations on State Highway Access Levels by Route and Milepost Access Code Classification.

The purpose of the rule is to manage vehicular traffic to and from State highways.

The amendments are proposed to change the access level for Route 120 between milepost 0.00 and 0.95 from access level 2 to access level 3.

The proposed rule appears in the March 1, 2004 issue of the New Jersey Register. The public has until April 30, 2004 to comment on the proposal. Persons wishing to comment on the proposal must provide their comments in writing to Miriam Crum, Administrative Practice Officer, NJ Department of Transportation, 1035 Parkway Avenue, PO Box 600, Trenton, NJ 08625-0600. Fax: (609) 530-3841. Comments must be postmarked or sent by fax on or before April 30, 2004, which is the close of the 60-day public comment period.

Comments submitted to the Department on the proposed rulemaking are public records and are available for public inspection by prior appointment during normal Department business hours.
