Multimodal Grants and Programs
Overview
The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is responsible for the oversight of several modes of
transportation including aviation, maritime and rail, making it a multimodal–focused service organization.
NJDOT has
streamlined the process of receivingapplications, awarding grants, and general program management. Grants
under the Airport Improvement Program and the Rail Freight Assistance Programare
now being administered through an online resource,
SAGE (System for
Administering Grants Electronically). Click on the icon to the right to access

Pursuant to
N.J.S.A. 16:53C
(pdf), NJDOT cordially invites you to attend a Public Meeting outlining the projects eligible
for inclusion in the New Jersey State Rail Plan Update for Fiscal Year 2013. The purpose of the meeting is to present
the FY 2013 Update of the State Rail Plan and solicit public comment about the proposed updates.
The Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room located
at the New Jersey Department of Transportation Main Office Building, 1035 Parkway Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08625.
The New Jersey State Rail Plan Update

supports the preservation, rehabilitation and enhancement of New Jersey’s freight railroad network, and details projects
that have been applied for under the current State Fiscal Year, as well as projects submitted in prior years. All of the
projects in the report meet the requirements for funding as established in
N.J.A.C. 16:53C
