Question 1: One of the qualifications for Hazardous Substance Investigation Team Leader is the Site Remediation Basics Course; as this course is no longer being offered is there another course or courses that would satisfy this qualification requirement.
Answer 1: The NJDEP Case Study Training for LSRPs is an acceptable substitution for the Site Remediation Basics Course.
Question 2: I believe the NJDEP Site Remediation Basics seminar was first offered in 2009. It was initially offered to allow individuals the ability to refresh/learn site remediation technical requirements and to fulfill the course requirement for LSRP applicants. Study material included utilizing technical requirements in real world case studies.
However, after the signing of the Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA) in 2009, (i.e., initial implementation of the LSRP Program), the NJDEP Site Remediation Basics seminar was offered less and less frequently. The NJDEP Case Study Training for LSRPs seminar, which is now required by all LSRP applicants, replaced the NJDEP Site Remediation Basics seminar several years ago. Like the NJDEP Site Remediation Basics seminar, real world scenarios utilizing all recent NJDEP rules, policies, regulations, and guidance documents (which did not exist during the early years of the LSRP Program) are part of the material covered.
Can the Task Leader requirement for Site Remediation Basics be fulfilled by completing either the NJDEP Case Study Training seminar or the NJDEP Site Remediation Basics seminar?
Answer 2: The NJDEP Case Study Training for LSRPs is an acceptable substitution for the Site Remediation Basics Course.
Question 3: Can a subcontractor listed on the NJ State Treasury Department of Revenue certified vendor list be used to fulfill the SBE requirement? Is Cost Basis approval required by such subcontractors?
Answer 3: Yes, but the subcontractor must be Cost Basis Approved.
Question 4: What does RESR stand for, which is specified under team leader qualifications?
Answer 4: RESR is a typo. The Team leader qualification should be RASR.
