Route 29 Waterfront Improvements

Trenton, Mercer County

Boat Docks

The Mercer County docks, located on the Delaware River starting in front of the Waterfront Park Baseball Stadium, will add 1,000 feet of access to the Trenton waterfront on the Delaware River.

The docks opened in Summer 2002 allowing boaters and pedestrians to enjoy Trenton's river shore as well as provide river access to all of the other waterfront facilities and to downtown Trenton. The first phase of the Mercer County Waterfront docks opened on July 4, 2002 with a ribbon cutting ceremony conducted by Mercer County Executive Robert Prunetti. The docks are a public facility available to all boaters on the Delaware River at no charge. The hours of operation are dawn to dusk with extended hours when special events are being held.

A second phase of this project will include an amphitheater for programmed or informal events, an interactive fountain for family fun and a waterside plaza that will ba a focal point for the north and south river walks.
