Bicycle Lanes

Route NJ 35
(a) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 35 and NJ 35Z described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as bicycle lanes.  No vehicle other than a bicycle shall be permitted the use of said lane except for those vehicles loading or unloading passengers or materials in accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-139.
1. In Ocean County:
i. In the Borough of Seaside Park:
(1) Bicycle lanes, four feet in width, along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between the Berkeley Township – Seaside Park Borough corporate line and K Street (approximate mileposts 0.54 to 1.79).
(B) Between Lafayette Avenue and Central Avenue (approximate mileposts 2.03 to 2.21).
(2) Bicycle lanes, four feet in width, along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between Lafayette Avenue and the Berkeley Township – Seaside Park Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 2.03 to 0.54).
ii. In the Township of Toms River:
(1) Bicycle lanes, five feet in width, along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between the Seaside Heights Borough – Toms River Township corporate line and 6th Avenue (approximate mileposts 3.48 to 4.00).
(2) Bicycle lanes, five feet in width, along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between 6th Avenue and Central Avenue (under state jurisdiction) (approximate mileposts 4.10 to 3.66).
iii. In the Borough of Mantoloking:
(1) Bicycle lanes, five feet in width, along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between the Brick Township – Mantoloking Borough corporate line and Herbert Street (County Route 528) (approximate mileposts 9.04 to 9.94).
(B) Between Lyman Avenue and the Mantoloking Borough – Bay Head Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 10.70 to 11.21).
(2) Bicycle lanes, five feet in width, along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between the Bay Head Borough – Mantoloking Borough corporate line and the Mantoloking Borough – Brick Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 11.21 to 9.04).
