South Orange Rail Station
Certain parts of the NJ Transit center known as the South Orange Rail Station, located in the Township of South Orange Village in Essex County, are under New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdiction.  Traffic on these sections of the transit center is hereby controlled by the following regulations:
(a) All vehicles must park in designated areas and between the lines provided within the transit center.
(b) The certain parts of the transit center described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no stopping or standing” zones, where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) Along all roadways and aisles indicated on the site plan.
(c) The certain parts of the transit center described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “handicapped parking” areas for the use of persons who have been issued special vehicle identification cards by the Motor Vehicle Commission in accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-197.5:
(1) Handicapped Parking:
(A) Within the designated parking areas as indicated on the site plan, during all hours.
(d) The certain parts of the transit center described in this subsection are hereby designated as through streets, where stop signs are installed on the near right side of each street intersecting the through street except where yield signs are provided for in the designation:
(1) Through streets for both directions of traffic:
(A) Along Lane “A” between Lane “E” and Circle Lane.
(B) Along Lane “E” for its entire length.
(C) Along Lane “F” for its entire length.
(e) The certain parts of the transit center described in this subsection are hereby designated as stop intersections:
(1) Stop signs shall be installed:
(A) At the intersection of Lane “E” and Lane “D” for traffic traveling along Lane “D”.
(B) At the intersection of Lane “H” and Lane “J” for traffic traveling along Lane “H”.
(C) At the intersection of Lane “J” and Lane “G” for traffic traveling along Lane “J”.
(f) The certain parts of the transit center described in this subsection are hereby designated for one way traffic:
(1) One-way streets in the southbound direction:
(A) Along Lane “G” between Church Street and Lane “F”.
(2) One-way streets in the eastbound (counterclockwise) direction:
(A) Along Circle Lane between Lane “A” and Lane “E”.
(g) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of the transit center described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 15 MPH along all roadways and aisles indicated on the site plan.
(h) The certain parts of the transit center described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “tow-away zones”, where any vehicle parked or standing may be removed by towing the vehicle at the owners or operators expense:
(1) Tow-Away Zones:
(A) Any vehicles parked or standing as to obstruct or impede a normal flow of traffic, block entrances or exit ways, loading zones, oil fills, any grassy area, pedestrian walkway, or present in any way a safety or traffic hazard.
(i) The certain parts of the transit center described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as loading zones, where parking is prohibited at all times except for the loading or unloading of passengers:
(1) Loading zones along the southeasterly curb line:
(A) Along Circle Lane between Lane “A” and Lane “E”.
