Speed Limits For State Roads

Route NJ 24
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 24 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Morris County:
i. In the Township of Hanover:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the westernmost intersection with Route I-287 and the easternmost intersection with Route I-287 (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.39); thence
(B) Zone 2: 65 MPH between the easternmost Hanover Township-Morris Township corporate line (Park Avenue County Route 623) and the Hanover Township-Florham Park Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 1.65 to 2.12); thence
(2) For the eastbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the easternmost intersection with Route I-287 and the westernmost Hanover Township-Morris Township corporate line (Whippany Road County Route 511) (approximate mileposts 0.39 to 0.70); thence
(3) For the westbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the easternmost intersection with Route I-287 and the westernmost Hanover Township-Morris Township corporate line (Whippany Road County Route 511) (approximate mileposts 0.39 to 0.70); thence
ii. In the Township of Morris:
(1) For the eastbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the westernmost Hanover Township-Morris Township corporate line (Whippany Road County Route 511) and a point and 2,335 feet east of Whippany Road (County Route 511) (approximate mileposts 0.70 to 1.14); thence
(2) For the westbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the westernmost Hanover Township-Morris Township corporate line (Whippany Road County Route 511) and a point and 2,335 feet east of Whippany Road (County Route 511) (approximate mileposts 0.70 to 1.14); thence
(3) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between a point and 2,335 feet east of Whippany Road (County Route 511) and the easternmost Hanover Township-Morris Township corporate line (Park Avenue County Route 623) (approximate mileposts 1.14 to 1.65); thence
iii. In the Borough of Florham Park:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the Hanover Township-Florham Park Borough corporate line and the westernmost Florham Park Borough-Madison Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 2.12 to 4.10); thence
(B) Zone 2: 65 MPH between the easternmost Florham Park Borough-Madison Borough corporate line and the Florham Park Borough-Chatham Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 4.57 to 5.75); thence
iv. In the Borough of Madison:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the westernmost Florham Park Borough-Madison Borough corporate line and the easternmost Florham Park Borough-Madison Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 4.10 to 4.57); thence
v. In the Borough of Chatham:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the Florham Park Borough-Chatham Borough corporate line and the Chatham Borough-Millburn Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 5.75 to 6.58); thence
2. In Essex County:
i. In the Township of Millburn:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the Chatham Borough-Millburn Township corporate line and the westernmost Millburn Township-Summit City corporate line (approximate mileposts 6.58 to 7.20); thence

(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the Millburn Township-Summit City corporate line (792 feet west of Brantwood Drive) and the Summit City-Millburn Township corporate line (264 feet east of Brantwood Drive) (approximate mileposts 8.30 to 8.90); thence
3. In Union County:
i. In the City of Summit:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the westernmost Millburn Township-Summit City corporate line and the Summit City-Millburn Township corporate line (2904 feet east of Summit Avenue County Route 657) (approximate mileposts 7.20 to 7.44); thence

(B) Zone 2: 55 MPH between 280 feet west of Broad Street (County Route 512) and the City of Summit-Springfield Township corporate line (Broad Street County Route 512) (approximate mileposts 9.40 to 9.45); thence
