(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of the State Highway Route NJ 47 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Cape May County:
NOTE: State Highway Route NJ 47 is under county (Cape May County) jurisdiction from approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.65.
i. In the City of Wildwood:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between Susquehanna Avenue and the Lower Township-City of Wildwood corporate line (southernmost end of the bridge over the Grassy Sound Channel) (approximate mileposts 0.65 to 0.74); thence
ii. In the Township of Lower:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the City of Wildwood-Lower Township corporate line (southernmost end of the bridge over the Grassy Sound Channel), and Shawcrest Road (approximate mileposts 0.74 to 1.16); thence
(B) Zone 2: 50 MPH between Shawcrest Road and the Middle Township-Lower Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 1.16 to 1.57); thence
iii. In the Township of Middle:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between the Lower Township-Middle Township corporate line and 700 feet south of the center at the northbound roadway of the Garden State Parkway overpass (approximate mileposts 1.57 to 2.96); thence
