Route 9 Pavement Rehabilitation

Overview

This web site has been archived and is no longer being updated.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is proposing to rehabilitate the existing pavement on Route 9 in Monmouth and Middlesex counties. Work will begin at milepost 115.3 along Route 9 southbound in Freehold Township, Monmouth County, south of the signalized intersection of Schibanoff Lane, and extends to milepost 122.3, north of the Route 18 interchange in Old Bridge Township, Middlesex County.

Pavement rehabilitation is also proposed north of this in both directions from milepost 122.3 to milepost 128. There are 12 signalized intersections, with left turns from Route 9 using jug handles, and two grade-separated partial interchanges (Route 18 and Route 34). This Route 9 project crosses over 16 structures, all culverts except for one.
