Law
Enforcement Officers (LEOs)
of the Public Employees' Retirement System
Chapter 257, P.L. 1955,
established the Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) category as a special
group of the Public Employees' Retirement System. The LEO group
is eligible for enhanced retirement benefits not available to
regular PERS members, as outlined in
Fact Sheet #46, LEO: Law Enforcement Officers and the Public
Employees' Retirement System.
