Medco Begins Transition to Express Scripts Name

Medco Health Solutions, Inc. — the prescription drug benefit administrator for the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) and the School Employees’ Health Benefits Program (SEHBP) — has merged with Express Scripts, Inc.

Starting September 1, 2012, Medco will begin the transition process to the Express Scripts name.

• Until the renaming process is complete, SHBP/SEHBP members may see the name of either company on communications and on the Internet.  However, there will be no changes to your SHBP/SEHBP prescription drug coverage as a result of the merger.
  
  
• SHBP/SEHBP members should continue to refill prescriptions using their current prescription drug ID card, refill order forms, the www.medco.com Web site, or the toll-free member services telephone number on your Medco ID card.
