RATE AGREEMENT REACHED
BETWEEN HORIZON AND ST. JOSEPH'S
St. Joseph’s Healthcare System to remain in Horizon Hospital Network.
Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey has reached a rate agreement with St. Joseph’s Healthcare System that will keep St. Joseph's in the Horizon Hospital Network.
The rate agreement, effective January 1, 2012, means Horizon BCBSNJ members can continue to take advantage of St. Joseph’s services on an in-network basis. Benefits to members include in-network access to all St. Joseph’s Healthcare System facilities and all services, including elective procedures, inpatient and outpatient services. The contract between St Joseph’s and Horizon BCBSNJ was due to expire at the end of this month.
As part of the rate resolution with St. Joseph's, Horizon BCBSNJ will rescind the termination of network agreements with physicians affiliated with the hospital system. Accordingly, Horizon BCBSNJ members will be able to continue care with those physicians on an in-network basis.
