RETIREE
DENTAL EXPENSE PLAN
The
Retiree Dental Expense Plan, administered by Aetna
Dental, is available to State and local government retirees eligible to enroll
in the SHBP Retired Group, and local education retirees eligible to enroll
in the SEHBP Retired Group.
All State and most other retirees who
enroll in the Retiree Dental Expense Plan are responsible for
paying the full cost of their coverage.
Most
retirees have one opportunity to enroll in the Retiree Dental
Expense Plan when the individual retires or becomes eligible for
enrollment in SHBP oe SEHBP Retired Group coverage. Enrollment is generally
offered within 30-60 days of retirement or eligibility for benefits
under the Retired Group. See Fact Sheet #73 or the Retiree Dental
