SOCIAL SECURITY COST-OF-LIVING ANNOUNCEMENT

While the federal Social Security Administration has announced that there will not be a cost-of-living increase for calendar year 2010, the Division of Pensions and Benefits has not yet completed the data anlaysis to determine the Consumer Price Index factors for the specific period which applies to the State retirement systems.

We expect to have the necessary data within the next few weeks and will post an update to our Web site as soon as the analysis is completed.
