INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

You may pay your New Jersey personal income, estimated, and fiduciary taxes with a credit card. This program using the services of Official Payments Corp. is similar to one being used by the IRS. You may pay by telephone or directly over the Internet. This offer is for all Individual Income Tax payments. It can only be used by taxpayers who have filed in previous years.

There is a fee for this service. The amount of the fee is determined by the amount of the payment and is automatically added to your transaction.

To pay by credit card using the toll free number: 800-2PAY-TAX (800-272-9829).You will be asked to enter your credit card information: card type, credit card number, expiration date; and amount of the tax payment; your Social Security Number; and your name control; and the type of tax return (Resident NJ-1040, Nonresident NR-1040 or Fiduciary NJ-1041) you are paying. The system will repeat all of the above, tell you the total of your payment, which will include the appropriate fee; get approval of the charge and provide you with a confirmation number.
