All practitioners who prepared 200 or more 2003 New Jersey income tax returns are requiredto use one of the three New Jersey electronic filing services (NJ WebFile, NJ TeleFile, and NJ ELF) to file their clients’ 2004 New Jersey income tax resident returns. A list of frequently asked questions regarding this mandate has recently been posted to our Web site. Please continue to check the Web address below because we will update the list as necessary.

12/08/04 Tax Practitioners All practitioners who prepared 200 or more 2003 New Jersey income tax returns are required to use one of the three New Jersey electronic filing services to file their clients’ 2004 New Jersey income tax resident returns — unless the taxpayer opts not to have their NJ-1040 filed electronically and completes a 2004 “Opt Out” form. The 2004 “Opt Out” form and information on its use have recently been posted to our Web site.

12/06/04 All Subscribers The Division of Taxation has automated the process of ordering the 2004 Package NJX. Materials can only be ordered online through our secure server. Payments must be made by electronic check (e-check).
