This branch entails many administrative duties, including recommendation and implementation of exchange agreements with other agencies and responses to internal and external requests for tax records.

Some of the agencies frequently dealt with include the Internal Revenue Service, New Jersey State Police, Division of Criminal Justice, Division of Gaming Enforcement and sister states through their Departments of Revenue/Taxation.

Through this branch, the Division of Taxation, as well as other taxing agencies throughout the United States, have been able to locate and identify taxpayers who cross state lines to avoid taxes.
