About the Purchasing Department
The Purchasing Department procures goods and services for the Turnpike Authority and for Troop D of the New Jersey State Police. (Goods and services related to engineering are not procured through the Purchasing Department. Information about those opportunities can be found on the Construction and Professional Services pages of this Web site.) Our procurement process is governed by the Turnpike Authority’s enabling statute and regulations, applicable Executive Orders and internal policies and procedures. The process is designed to assure competitive solicitation and transparency. We publicly advertise Requests for Bids for goods and services exceeding the public bid threshold and Requests for Proposals for professional services agreements. In some instances, we advertise Requests for Prequalification to qualify bidders/proposers before formal solicitation.

Information about currently advertised public bids is available below. If you’re interested in submitting a bid, please complete a bid request form and return it to The Purchasing Department by fax at 732-750-5399. Links to the bid request forms appear below. You can read the full bid solicitation notice by clicking on the bid number and description. Make sure you also read “INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS”. That document contains answers to many frequently asked questions as well as forms you will need to submit with your bid. If you have any questions, please contact the Purchasing Department at 732-750-5300, extension 8640. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority Purchasing Department, P.O. Box 5042, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Submissions should be clearly marked "Public Bid" with the bid title, bid number, bid due date and time.
