The EMP Committee, under the leadership of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, will focus on Clean and Reliable Transportation tomorrow, 9-20
TRENTON—The New Jersey Energy Master Plan (EMP) Committee will continue a robust public outreach campaign Thursday as part of the public process that forges the path toward New Jersey becoming a 100 percent clean energy state by 2050.

The EMP Committee, under the leadership of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, will focus on Clean and Reliable Transportation tomorrow, September 20. The focus will be on how to reduce the state’s carbon footprint and advance electric and alternative fuel vehicles, while incentivizing the use of clean, efficient, technological advances in transportation.

Then, on Monday, September 24, the EMP Committee will examine “Building a Modern Grid,” which explores the utilization of new and developing technologies to allow the affordable distribution of energy to all customer classes.

In May 2018, Governor Murphy signed Executive Order No. 28 directing the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and other state agencies to develop the 2019 EMP, which is to be completed by June 2019.
