GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
See New Jersey Civil Service Commission job specification for title code 02728.
Applicants must be, or have been, employed as a Law Enforcement Officer with an agency governed by NJ Civil Service and transferrable to a local municipal police officer title. Individuals who are not currently employed are only eligible if they have been laid off by a NJ civil service jurisdiction within one year of the effective date of an intergovernmental transfer. Candidates will need to have preapproval from their current department to transfer.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from a New Jersey Law Enforcement Academy.
