The 2016 Governor’s Conference on Housing and Economic Development will kick off with a trade show and breakout sessions in which participants can choose from 25 different educational workshops in areas such as housing, property management, economic development, programs and practices in New Jersey and State and federal resources. The conference is hosted by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA), New Jersey Housing & Mortgage Finance Agency (HMFA) and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA). It is self-sustaining and funded entirely through sponsorship opportunities and registration fees. This year’s conference will present innovative economic development strategies and tools and engage participants in how best to achieve neighborhood revitalization, handle property management, implement green building, develop housing for special needs populations, leverage financial resources and public-private partnerships to build healthy local economies and strengthen communities and more.
