Pesticide Laboratory

lab
The Pesticide Laboratory provides the PCP with analytical and technical support for enforcement cases and monitoring projects. Analyses of pesticide residues are performed on such environmental matrices as sample wipes, water, air, soil, and vegetation. The laboratory's strict quality control guidelines assure a high level of analytical accuracy and precision.

The laboratory also takes part in special projects such as ground and surface water monitoring to insure that IPM practices are minimizing pesticide runoff. In the past the PCP laboratory has worked with other agencies such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Food & Drug Administration, and the Rutgers Experimental Stations, and has accepted samples from other sources as well.
