Public Entity Transporters
Public Entity Transporters include; municipalities, county, state and federal agencies who haul waste for residents rather than sub contract to haul waste generated in the municipality.
Currently 85% of New Jersey's municipality's are registered to haul their residents waste, sweep streets and remove waste from regular municipality activities.
A Bill was signed into Public Law (P.L. 2000, Chapter 126) which has allowed "A-901 Exempt Solid Waste haulers", who operate as Public Entities, to have a five (5) year registration period instead of an annual (one year) registration period.
