Participate in Hunter and Angler Surveys

Hunters and anglers are invited to participate in surveys developed by Southwick Associates to help management agencies, as well as sporting goods companies, improve their offerings and services. The division will benefit by receiving monthly reports from Southwick Associates which include such information as the type of hunting and shooting sports activities engaged in, species targeted by hunters and anglers (both fresh and saltwater), average days of activity in the past month and demographics of people who participated in the last month.

There are two survey sites: AnglerSurvey.com and HunterSurvey.com. Survey participants register on their first visit, then e-mails are sent monthly inviting them to take the survey. E-mail addresses are never sold or given to others or used for any purpose other than distributing the monthly surveys. And each month, respondents are entered to win 1 of 10 $100 gift certificates to their preferred retailer.

In addition to the basic quesions, one-time questions relating to fish and wildlife conservation, current fishing and hunting issues, or topics of general or 'fun' interest are added each month. By participating in the survey, hunters and anglers will be further helping the division make future management decisions.
