The state inspection yesterday of the Tigers Only Preservation Society in Jackson Township, Ocean County, revealed that the owner, Joan Byron-Marasek, has failed to make required improvements to existing grounds and buildings within the time frame specified. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife issued the directive on February 3, after a thorough inspection of the facility indicated that it did not meet current safety standards.

"Although some minor improvements were attempted, the -facility remains below safety standards," said Jim Hall, assistant commissioner of Natural and Historic Resources. "Unfortunately, Ms. Marasek's failure to make the improvements she agreed to in a signed consent order, will force the Division to seek judiciary enforcement of the order at the earliest opportunity."

Though investigation of the facility revealed that a concrete foundation was partially poured and much of the existing debris has been removed, major improvements were not made to ensure public safety and compliance with New Jersey Administrative Code 7:25.
