for Craft Artisans & Book Authors
In 2015 the SPIRIT of the JERSEYS State History Fair will be celebrating a major milestone—its 11th anniversary! The Fair will be featuring a Crafter’s and Author’s MarketPlace. We are eagerly seeking craft artisans and historical-subject book authors to join us!
Artisans’ work must be original and traditional or representative of a historical period (primarily 17th to some early 20th century). Work may include historical reproductions or items based on historical design and techniques. Categories include, but are not limited to:
Metal
Glass
Jewelry
Paper
Wood |
Pottery
Fiber Arts & Leather
Toys, Games & Dolls
Mixed Media |
Authors’ books/booklets should have a subject/theme related to something or someone from New Jersey history. Books are categorized under Mixed Media (see Category Descriptions).
If you are a craft artisan or a book author interested in participating in the SPIRIT of the JERSEYS State History Fair to be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Monmouth Battlefield State park, Manalapan, NJ. Please read the Artisan Application Category Descriptions and Craft Vendor Criteria & Restrictions links listed below before completing the application. There is a $25.00 fee to participate, but all profits from sales the day of the Fair will be the vendor’s.
NOTE: Department of Environmental Protection reserves the right to cancel this event at any time, without prior notification. Vendors waive any claim for damages and compensation as a result of any decision by Department to cancel. In the event of a Department mandated cancellation, application fees/deposits will be reimbursed.

How to Apply

- Click here to Email Image Description Form, if applicable.
- Artisans, please include five (5) images of your work. (See: Image Presentation).
- Authors, please include an image of your book’s cover or a weblink to info about your book.
- Confirmation or Denial of Acceptance will be emailed (or snail-mailed, if preferred) upon review of application.
Once accepted, you will be instructed where to send the $25.00 participation fee.
