The regulations for Radon Testing and Mitigation at N.J.A.C. 7:28-27 are operative on and after December 3, 2022.

Certification Procedures

Individuals and businesses must become certified under the new radon certification regulations to test for and mitigate radon in New Jersey.

An individual or business that HAS NEVER BEEN CERTIFIED BEFORE must complete the following application:

• Initial Radon Measurement Technician Application
  • MET Certification Procedures
• Initial Radon Measurement Specialist Application
  • MES Certification Procedures
  • MES Experience and Education Guide
• Initial Radon Measurement Business Application
  • MEB Certification Procedures
• Initial Radon Mitigation Specialist Application

• Initial Radon Mitigation Business Application
  • MIB Certification Procedures

An individual or business that HAS BEEN CERTIFIED BEFORE must complete the following application:
