Technical Guidance Document Training Series - Investigation of Landfills and USTs

Training on this topic will be held as follows:

Tuesday, April 24th from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM (check-in at 8:30 AM) in the DEP Public Hearing Room, 401 E. State Street, Trenton

Program Description of Landfills Investigation Guidance Training:
The Landfill Investigation Guidance Training presents methods for performing investigations of landfills to comply with the Department's Technical Requirements for Site Remediation. Training will be provided on what landfills require investigation and the tasks for completion of a site investigation and remedial investigation of landfills.

Program Description of Technical Guidance for Investigation of Underground Storage Tank (UST) Systems:
The Technical Guidance for investigation of UST Systems training presents methods for performing UST investigations in order to comply with the Department's Technical Requirements for Site Remediation. Training will be provided on performing historical assessments of UST systems along with investigations of suspected releases from UST systems intended to remain in service and investigation protocols for UST systems undergoing closure.

In order to facilitate a working relationship between the Department and environmental professionals, these training sessions are open to DEP staff, LSRPs and the public. In person attendance is limited, so registration for all attendees will be on a first come first served basis.
