Storm Sandy - For Those Individuals with Mortgage Inquiries

FHFA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac homeowners who were approved for forbearance as a result of Superstorm Sandy and were current at the time of the storm, may be eligible for an alternative modification mortgage relief program. Alternative modification, for those who qualify, allows homeowners to avoid a lump sum payment by incorporating the deferred amount into a different payment structure.

For homeowners who were not current at the time of the storm other types of loan modifications may be available.
