Thomas W. Amidon, MS, BCES

Thomas Amidon is the Manager of Water Resources Modeling at the Delaware River Basin Commission. In this role, he leads several water quality management initiatives, including eutrophication modeling of the tidal Delaware River system in support of the DRBC’s evaluation of highest attainable use and management of PCB TMDL implementation.

Tom’s career in water quality and watershed science spans two years in academic extension with the Great Lakes Program, ten years as a state scientist with NJDEP, and 15 years in the private sector as a water resource consultant with Kleinfelder before coming to the DRBC in 2019. He has served on the NJDEP Science Advisor Board’s Water Quality & Quantity Committee since he was first appointed in 2010 and is an AAEES Board Certified Environmental Scientist.

Tom earned a BS in Biology and Environmental Resource Management from Penn State in 1987 and a MS in Engineering Science from SUNY at Buffalo in 1993.
