Chad E. Pindar, P.E.

Chad E. Pindar joined the Delaware River Basin Commission (Commission) in May 2005 as a Water Resources Engineer in the Commission's Project Review Branch. In November 2007, Pindar was promoted to Project Review Section Supervisor. In that capacity, he supervised a staff of geologists and water resource engineers whose responsibilities include the review of projects (water withdrawal, wastewater discharge, etc.) in the Delaware River Basin, including the management of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Groundwater Protected Area.

In April 2011, Pindar was transferred to the Commission’s Planning and Information Technology Branch. Pindar currently serves as the Manager of the Commission’s Water Resource Planning Section. In that capacity, he supervises a staff of engineers, planners and scientists whose responsibilities include the long-term water supply planning for the Delaware River Basin, as well as the enforcement of the rules and regulations of the Commission.

Prior to joining the Commission, Pindar held positions with the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) from July 1999 to May 2005. As an environmental engineer at PWD’s Office of Watersheds, he was a member of the Source Water Protection Program and later served as the Stormwater Program Manager.

Pindar holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering (1997) from Wilkes University and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering (1999) from Drexel University. He is a licensed professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
