NJ Celebrates Afterschool Toolkit
NJ Celebrates Afterschool! is a statewide program to recognize the accomplishments of New Jersey’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC). NJ Celebrates Afterschool! events are open houses with fun and educational activities for parents, children and local community members. Programs can invite local government, business, and community leaders to experience their programs first hand. Additionally, local media will have story angles to cover. This packet includes resources and materials for planning and publicizing a NJ Celebrates Afterschool! event. It includes sample invitation letters, flyers, and press releases that can be customized for each program along with guidelines for setting up an event and publicizing it.
