Fort Lee High School
Fort Lee High School is a four year, comprehensive High School with an enrollment of close to 1,000 students in grades 9-12 and over 100 professional staff members. Our school was established in 1916 and has been in its current location since 1928. Through the years, Fort Lee High School has created a positive school climate that fosters success for all students' academically, socially and emotionally.
Fort Lee High School continues to showcase our Academy of Finance, International Baccalaureate, Academy of Theatre Arts and Award Winning Band and Music Programs. We are currently offering eleven Advanced Placement Courses as well as seventeen International Baccalaureate courses. During the 2014-2015 School year, 97% of our seniors attended post-secondary education programs. Our class of 2014 was awarded over four million dollars in scholarships and grants.
Students at Fort Lee High School are able to choose from over 40 clubs and activities and 17 athletic teams. These after-school activities give students the opportunity to explore a variety of interests outside of the classroom. Most of our students take advantage of the extra-curricular options offered at Fort Lee High School and many come to support our clubs and athletic activities.
Over the past few years, our facilities have been updated with new classrooms and science labs. Our athletic facilities have also been revitalized with a state of the art weight room, gymnasium and newly renovated turf field and track.
This year we have increased the technology available for staff and students in the building. All classrooms have been equipped with projectors and interactive whiteboards. These projectors allow our staff to enhance the learning experience taking place in our classrooms on a daily basis. Fort Lee High School has also put technology in the hands of the students. This year, all students received a Dell Chromebook as part of our 1 to 1 Initiative. This technology will greatly enhance the learning experience for all students.
Our staff continues to collaborate to improve teaching skills and the academic performance of our students. This is done through professional development, professional learning communities, department meetings and district wide initiatives.
Fort Lee High School will continue to promote school pride and create opportunities to enhance our student body's academic experience.
