“With the confirmations of Janine Bauer and Dr. Balpreet Grewal-Virk by the Senate today, the bi-state Gateway Development Commission can now fully embark on its mission to oversee and deliver the Gateway Program, including the Hudson Tunnel Project, which is without question the nation’s most urgently needed infrastructure project. Both Janine and Balpreet will bring a high degree of professionalism and integrity to an already talented group of individuals who are equally committed to seeing this milestone through completion. 

New Jersey’s commitment to building a new Portal North Bridge and tunnels under the Hudson has never been clearer, and I look forward to working with our partners on the Commission to deliver transportation infrastructure with profound regional and national significance.”
