Patients in the NJ Medicinal Marijuana Program Can Now Register with a Third Alternative Treatment Center

Patients and caregivers enrolled in New Jersey's Medicinal Marijuana Program can now begin registering with a third Alternative Treatment Center (ATC) that expects to open before the end of the year.

The third Alternative Treatment Center that began accepting registrations today is Garden State Dispensary, which was formerly known as Compassionate Care Center of America. It is located in Woodbridge.

"Patients now have three options to choose from in terms of geographic location, quality of service and the number and type of strains available," said Health Commissioner Mary O'Dowd.

Patients can choose any ATC regardless of where they live. There is no cost to change ATC registration and it does not require a new identification card, but patients can only be registered with one ATC at a time.

Currently, the 1,500 patients and caregivers registered with the program can choose between the two operating ATCs: Greenleaf Compassion Center of Montclair and Compassionate Care Foundation of Egg Harbor.

The Garden State Dispensary customer service department can be reached by calling (848) 999-2005 or visiting its website at www.gardenstatedispensary.com/ Appointments with Garden State Dispensary can be scheduled online at info@gardenstatedispensary.com

Patients with questions relating to the new ATC can contact the Garden State Dispensary customer service department or visit its website at www.gardenstatedispensary.com

Information and instructions on the Patient Initiated ATC Selection Process can be found on the Department's MMP webpage. Patients may also contact the MMP Customer Service Unit at (609) 292-0424.
