DAS sanctions a full continuum of care by independent substance abuse treatment provider agencies, which utilize the American Society of Addiction Medicine patient placement criteria.
Treatment services in New Jersey range from detoxification services and outpatient care, to short- and long-term residential treatment, and the treatment definitions may assist you in understanding your available options. Prevention and early intervention and recovery support services are also available and funded by DAS.
