Welcome to the New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Web site. My name is Ira Hock and I am the Acting Director. This site contains a wealth of resources about hearing loss. It is organized to assist you to easily navigate to the programs, services and information you need.
You will notice on the left a number of tabs describing the major categories of services available from our office. I encourage you to explore and become familiar with our programs and services.
Our programs and services are designed to improve the quality of lives of residents of New Jersey with hearing loss in a variety of settings such as social, legal, medical, educational and recreational. This is achieved through education, advocacy, and awareness about hearing loss with the goal of providing communication access to programs, services and information routinely available to all residents of New Jersey.
